Over the last few years, I realized that what I enjoyed most in my varied career was taking on learning and development projects. From designing eLearning courses, video tutorials, and job aids to creating instructor-led training (ILT), I've thoroughly enjoyed engaging in instructional design work and creating learning experiences for others. I'm passionate about helping others learn, designing creative solutions to address gaps, and helping learners improve their skills and performance. That was a key factor in my decision to pursue individual contributor roles - to focus on design and development as my day-to-day work.
In 2022, I decided to pursue additional education and training to complement my work experience. I began my journey with the Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA), where I received mentorship from corporate IDs while enhancing my skills in key design and development areas. I had the opportunity to design and develop projects using Articulate Storyline 360 and create associated deliverables, including design documents, storyboards, and scripts. You can select the AIDA certificate badges below to learn more about what each entails.
In my recent role as an eLearning Specialist within IT Operations and Services at a global oncology company, I worked to create digital learning content to help team members as they engaged with existing systems and learned new platforms. I had an integral role in developing some of the processes and structure of our area, including redesigning the IT onboarding process and implementing a Knowledge Base within the Service Now platform to host IT help resources.
